Women in peace building
Working in the community development space for over 10 years now, we have interacted with so many youths especially girls and women who have faced several injustices like Domestic Violence, Sexual Gender-based violence. Some girls and women are victims of teen pregnancies and others are early marriage
Yet most of these young girls and women are still the main providers
of their households. The majority of these become housemaids,
drop out of school and give birth to many children, and the
cycle of poverty continues since they cannot even earn enough
to be able to provide for their children. In the end, these same
children drop out of school and the cycle of poverty continues.
This is where we are coming in to bridge the gender gaps and unlock
the potential of girls and women so that they can earn an income and
hence become better responsible citizens. Especially teen mothers,
victims of early marriage, survivors of SGBV
